How to use the template
Separate materials and labour
A lump sum signals guesswork. Separate materials (with quantities and unit prices) from labour (hours and hourly rate) - it shows the customer the price has been calculated.
Remember the forgotten lines
Driving both ways, disposal, sundries, waste (typically 5-10%) and cleanup. These are the lines that eat your margin when they are missing.
Set a validity date
Material prices move. 30 days is common - without a date you are stuck with your price long after the wholesaler raised theirs.
Make acceptance easy
An acceptance field with date and signature makes the quote binding and professional. Even easier is an online accept link the customer can tap on their phone.
