Best quoting software for tradespeople 2026: the honest comparison

There is no single best quoting tool - there is the right one for how you work. Here are the five Danish contenders in 2026, with prices and honest strengths. Yes, we make one of them, and we say so openly.

Search for "best quoting software for tradespeople" and you mostly get ads and lists written by the tools themselves. This one is also written by one of the tools - Calco - but we have made an effort to be fair: prices are from July 2026, the strengths are real, and we say clearly when a competitor is the better choice.

The short version

  • Cheapest way in: Aison (from DKK 39/mo) and TilbudAI (Pro DKK 149/mo)
  • Best for polished quote documents fast: TilbudAI
  • Best for self-built calculation with live margin: TilbudsMotoren (Pro DKK 499/mo)
  • Broadest AI bundle (including customer service and phone): Håndværker AI
  • Best when the quote needs to be CALCULATED - with your own wholesaler prices, trade knowledge and order system integration: Calco (first 5 quotes free, then from DKK 899/mo)

TilbudAI: fast, polished documents

TilbudAI writes the quote text with AI, looks up company registration numbers automatically and can turn quotes into invoices with one click. Free for up to 3 quotes a month, Pro costs DKK 149/mo. A good choice for the solo tradesperson who mostly needs professional documents fast. In return, you type line items and prices yourself - the tool does not price the job for you.

TilbudsMotoren: calculation with live margin

TilbudsMotoren suggests materials, quantities and hours with AI and shows your margin live as you adjust. It is built around a product catalogue you create and maintain yourself with cost prices, aimed especially at carpenters, painters, bricklayers and contractors. Free for the first 3 quotes, then DKK 499/mo. Strong if you want control of your margin and are willing to maintain the catalogue yourself.

Aison: cheapest way in, voice-first

Aison is an AI assistant where you speak your quote and get text and a project plan out. Pricing starts at DKK 39/mo (Commercial DKK 399/mo), making Aison the cheapest place to start. Materials and prices are your own responsibility, so it suits smaller jobs where the words matter more than the calculation.

Håndværker AI: a broad AI bundle, not just quotes

Håndværker AI sells AI tools broadly to trade and service businesses: quoting, customer service, email handling and scheduling. It is more an AI vendor than a dedicated quoting tool, and setting up your own material prices is not publicly documented. Relevant if you want AI in several parts of the business at once.

Calco: when the quote has to hold up in the real world

Calco is built for the opposite of fast text: a fully calculated quote. You describe the job with text, voice or a photo, and Calco builds the whole quote with line items tied to real product numbers and your own wholesaler discounts from your price files. Trade knowledge (authorisation requirements, wastage, dimensions) is part of the calculation, the customer can accept online with opened-status tracking, and accepted quotes are pushed on to your order system - Apacta, Minuba or Ordrestyring. The first 5 quotes are free, then from DKK 899/mo. It costs more than the text tools because it does a different kind of work: TilbudAI and Aison write the quote, Calco also calculates it.

What about Minuba, Apacta and Ordrestyring?

The job management systems also have quoting modules, and if you already use one, it is a fine place to write quotes manually. The difference is that the new quoting tools build the quote itself from your description. The two worlds do not exclude each other - accepted Calco quotes land directly in Apacta, Minuba or Ordrestyring, so the flow from quote to invoice stays connected.

How to choose

  • Price your time: at 10+ quotes a month, even the most expensive tool pays for itself in saved evenings
  • Words or numbers? If you mainly need polished documents, the cheap tools are fine. If you lose money on guessed material prices, you need one that calculates
  • Check the price file handling: can the tool use YOUR purchase prices with YOUR discounts - or do you have to type and maintain a catalogue yourself?
  • Check the integration to your order system, so quotes never need retyping
  • Start free: all five have a free start, so try a real job before you decide

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest quoting tool for tradespeople?
Of the tools compared, Aison is cheapest from DKK 39/mo, followed by TilbudAI Pro at DKK 149/mo (prices July 2026). Both are text-first tools where you type line items and prices yourself.
What is the difference between a quoting tool and a job management system?
Job management systems like Minuba, Apacta and Ordrestyring handle jobs, hours and invoices and include quoting modules for manual entry. Quoting tools build the quote itself from your description of the job. Several of them can push the finished quote into the job management system afterwards.
Can I trust the prices from a quoting tool?
Only if the tool calculates with your actual purchase prices. Check whether it can load your wholesaler price files with your discounts, or whether prices rely on a catalogue you maintain yourself - or at worst on the AI's guesses.
Isn't this just an ad for Calco?
We make Calco, so read it with that in mind. But the prices and features in this article come from the tools' own pages (July 2026), and we honestly point out when the others are the right choice: if you mainly need polished documents cheaply, TilbudAI or Aison are better places to start.
