How to get your wholesaler's prices into the quote
A quote is only as accurate as the material prices behind it. Here is how to get your wholesaler's net price file into Calco, so every material line is priced at what you actually pay.
Most software calculates with guide prices or a market average. The problem is that your price was negotiated separately - you do not pay the same as your neighbour. The fix is to feed the quote with your own net price file from the wholesaler.
How to connect a wholesaler
01- Choose your wholesaler in Calco under Price files
- Upload the price file yourself, or let Calco request it from the wholesaler on your behalf
- Calco reads the file in, and the material lines are priced at your net prices
Do you shop at a local store?
02Some chains are independent local stores - for example XL-BYG - where your account sits with the store you shop at, not centrally. So Calco asks which store you belong to and sends the request straight there, so you get the right price file the first time instead of being sent around.
Why it pays off
03When the cost prices are your own, the margin can be trusted, the quote holds all the way to the invoice, and you can set your markup with peace of mind. Calco calculates - you decide the price.
Frequently asked questions
- What if my wholesaler is not on the list?
- Write to us, or upload the price file manually. Calco reads the common formats (CSV, Excel, XML), and we keep adding more wholesalers.
- Can Calco fetch the price file itself?
- Yes. Calco can request your net price file from the wholesaler on your behalf, with your consent, and load it in when it arrives.
- What about chains with local stores?
- Calco asks which local store you shop at and sends the request straight there, so you get the right price file without detours.
