Calco now knows all 6.3 million Danish buildings
We have mirrored Denmark's entire building register into Calco. That means the quote knows the property the moment you pick the customer - before you have even driven out there.
Every good quote starts with knowing the property: How old is the house? What is the roof made of? How is it heated? Is the plot connected to the sewer? Those answers normally cost a phone call, a site visit or a guess. Now they are in Calco the second you pick the customer.
The whole register, not a sample
Calco has mirrored the entire Danish Building and Dwelling Register (BBR) - the official public register covering all buildings in Denmark. Concretely: 6,263,468 buildings and 3,143,873 plots, with construction year, roof and wall materials, heating source, area, floors, drainage and water supply. The mirror is kept up to date against the national data distributor.
What it means for your quote
- Pick the customer and "About the property" appears under the address: year built, roof, walls, heating, area and drainage
- The facts feed into the quote - Calco does not ask about things the register already knows
- If the roof is registered as asbestos fibre cement, the remediation disclaimer writes itself into the quote - 1,186,690 Danish buildings have a registered asbestos roof, so it happens more often than you would think
- Old houses trigger the right attention: water installations from before 1970, electrical installations predating modern safety requirements, combined sewers where separation may be required
Disclaimers that protect your margin
The most expensive part of a quote is the surprise that was not in it. When the disclaimers about asbestos, old installations or drainage are in the quote from the start, you are not the one paying for them later. And to the customer it reads as what it is: a tradesperson who knows the house before ringing the doorbell.
Register data never sets prices silently
One thing matters: register facts are background and attention - never hidden pricing. Your description and photos always win over the register, and anything property data affects appears as visible lines and disclaimers in the quote. Registers can be outdated; Calco knows that.
How to use it
- Create or pick a customer with an address - "About the property" loads automatically
- Generate the quote as usual - the building facts are part of the calculation
- Relevant disclaimers appear in the quote, ready for your approval
Frequently asked questions
- Where does the building data come from?
- From the Danish Building and Dwelling Register (BBR) via the national data distributor - the official public register covering all buildings in Denmark. Calco mirrors the entire register: 6,263,468 buildings and 3,143,873 plots, kept continuously up to date.
- Do I need to switch anything on?
- No. Pick a customer with an address and Calco fetches the property facts automatically and shows them under the address. The facts feed into the quote with no extra clicks.
- What if the register is wrong?
- BBR can be outdated, and that is accounted for: your description and photos always win over register data, and anything property data affects appears as visible lines and disclaimers in the quote - never as hidden pricing.
- Which trades benefit?
- All of Calco's trades. Carpenters and bricklayers get asbestos attention on roofs and facades, plumbers get the heating source and old water installations, electricians get the age of the installations, and drainage contractors get the sewer facts straight from the register.
